1970년 발매된 엘튼존 3집 <Tumbleweed Connection>의 8번 트랙 Amoreena. 잔잔하게 피아노로 시작하다가 점점 경쾌하고 리드미컬하게 진행되는 곡이다. 엘튼존 보컬이 특히 매력적으로 다가오는 컨트리 록이다.

 

엘튼존의 초기매니저 '레이 윌리엄스'의 딸 애모리나(Amoreena) 이름을 따서 작곡한 곡으로, 사랑하는 이를 그리워하는 한 남성에 대한 이야기를 담았다. 곡에서 애모리나는 밭에서 일하는 유유자적한 여성으로 묘사된다.

 

1970~1971년 투어에서 몇번 부르고 이후 50년가까이 라이브에서 한번도 부르지 않았다고 한다. 70년대.. 엘튼존 초기곡이라 목소리가 굉장히 젊다.
